The Matrix- an Indian Remake

I just finished watching the first part of the Matrix trilogy for the 7th time.. No.. I ain't a Matrix fan.. But the Warner Bros channel keeps on showing that regularly and I am idle most of the times.. But this time I saw it with a different lens.. A lens of reality.. The scene in which Morpheus offers Neo 2 pills- the one which can show him which is real and the one which can take him back to the life which he is living, the normal life- shook me for the first time since I watched the movie. The whole movie later woke me up from the slumber. The time in which he wakes up from the cocoon the machines have kept for him and then sees the bleak reality is something which connected to me.. How it connected is the going to be my argument here..

Present Time.. India.. We are being fed various rubbish and kept under constant sleep.. In that sleep, we are shown dreams of a Hindu Rashtra and the glory of Hinduism.. Muslims are all bad. Most of them are terrorists. Definition of terrorism is also clear: those who kill people and spread terror among the common man. most of the times the coverage that is shown to us is also full of Muslims doing the most heinous crimes humanity can commit. Meanwhile, they keep on harassing and exploiting the Muslims in all the ways possible.. The police, the media and the education system are on the act too.. The media is the key here. It keeps the protests down and doesn't let the protestors unite. It also keeps potential sympathizers in the shroud of fake knowledge.. Meanwhile, through the same media, it spreads information about the Muslim terror. Education system is used to target young children.. They shall grow up to be staunch Hindu Nation supporters who shall kill any dissenter.. In case they aren't, the police is there.. Meanwhile the machines who control us.. Use laws to legitimize and hit the final nail in the coffin of tolerance and fraternity.. but we don't know this is bleak.. for it is deemed to be "normal" for the others..

But despair not people or despair.. For all is not over yet.. For there are people.. Few.. But people nevertheless who have somehow got the strength to pull the plug and see the reality that is bleak. See the monsters and the conscience-less and non-questioning machines they are making us into.. These people decide to first understand the situation and often fall down. But they do stand up and then finally get ready for the final showdown. However, the biggest obstacles they find in fighting intolerance is their own brothers and sisters who are ready to kill them and do the masters' bidding. The liberators cry as they see their brains-washed brothers ramble about liberation and how the machines have liberated them. They realize it is near impossible to bring them on to reality. But try they must.. And so with heavy hearts they go to fight. With determination that they will destroy the virus that has infected the people.. that has infected society.. and that has infected humanity. Hopefully, they can eradicate this intolerance virus just like they eradicated the small pox virus.
